ORATORIO and CHOREOGRAPHY for 12 member children’s choir, 6 dancers, 1 narrator
In the surreal scenes, actions, atmospheres phrasing associations of the text the storyworld is confronted with reality, insanity with normality, and vitality with disillusionment. The present behavior, dances and situations of the six dancers contradict and counterpoint this storyworld, while, despite their intentions, imperceptibly they themselves also become characters of the story.
There is a 12 member children’s choir at a large table. Perhaps as angels or as the fresco of the 12 Apostles on the wall and there is also a clock which works in vain, since it always shows the same time.
The 6 dancers on the stage sit by the table of the Last Supper as disciples among mountains of books along with the narrator as master.
